Barn Owl Cottage is the perfect holiday cottage in West Wales; a countryside cottage offering an idyllic retreat in Carmarthenshire. Surrounded by rolling hillside and with a large enclosed garden. The cottage is offered with a Continental breakfast hamper and set is within the Reindeer retreat it is close to Kidwelly, Pembrey country park, beautiful beaches lovely walks and a short drive to Tenby. An ideal location for family holidays in West Wales.

This detached cottage is located in the hamlet of Llandyfaelog near Kidwelly. The cottage boasts a large enclosed garden with brick BBQ and is set within the 15 acres of the Reindeer Retreat, including a riverbank with fishing rights (rod license required & by prior arrangement with owners). Enjoy the local wildlife such as herons, kingfishers and the occasional otter.

Full of character the cottage has an open plan living area tastefully decorated with charm and style. Large comfy sofas and a look a like wood burning stove for instant heat create a cosy interior. It will comfortably sleep a family of 6 with 3 bedrooms and offers a ground floor wet rooms & separate WC cloakroom . One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor with the other double and the twin bedroom situated upstairs with WC cloakroom.

We do accept 1 very well behaved family dog and the garden is enclosed (dog on lead in the public areas of the Retreat). Please let us know if you would like to bring your dog or even your horse on holiday. Carmarthen town is just a short 10 minute drive away for all your holiday essentials and shopping with a large Morrisons & Tesco’s. Pembrey County Park and beach with 8 miles of golden sands are just 8 miles from Barn Owl Cottage, there is also a lovely dog walking beach, Kidwelly Castle is 5 miles and for those who love their horse racing, Ffos Las Racecourse is just a 7 mile drive away.
